Redmi is reportedly working on several new devices for the Chinese market. In August and September, the company is expected to launch the Redmi Note 15 series and the Redmi 15 lineup. The final quarter of the year is said to be reserved for the debut of the Redmi K90 series, which will include the Redmi K90 and K90 Pro. A new leak from tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed key details about the battery capacities and fast charging support for these upcoming models.
Redmi K90 series battery, charging speed leak
According to the leak, the Redmi K90 will feature a 7,100mAh battery (typical value), while the K90 Pro will be equipped with a slightly larger 7,500mAh battery (typical value). Both models will use single-cell silicon-carbon battery technology and support 100W fast charging.
Previous leaks have suggested that the Redmi K90 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset and will include a periscope telephoto camera. It is also expected to feature an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor, a large x-axis linear vibration motor, dual speakers, and a metal mid-frame—typical of flagship-grade build quality.
Other reports have revealed that the K90 Pro will sport a 6.59-inch RGB OLED LTPS flat display with 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The standard Redmi K90 could share similar specifications but is rumoured to use the Snapdragon SM8845 chipset.
The Redmi K90 series is expected to be exclusive to the Chinese market. However, on the global stage, these devices are likely to be rebranded as the Poco F8 Pro and Poco F8 Ultra. The global Poco F8 lineup is also expected to include the Poco F8, which could be a rebranded version of the yet-to-be-announced Redmi Turbo 5 Pro powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 5 chipset. The Poco F8 is rumored to debut in Q2 2026.
