In December 2021, Xiaomi announced the Xiaomi 12 series of flagship phones in China. Recent reports have revealed that Qualcomm will unveil the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset in November and Xiaomi will announce the Xiaomi 13 series featuring the new chip in the same month. A leaked image of the alleged prototype of the Xiaomi 13 Pro has surfaced on Weibo. The image not only gives the first look at the front design of the device but also reveals its key specifications.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro featured a curved edge AMOLED screen with a centrally positioned punch-hole. The leaked image of the rumored Xiaomi 13 Pro shows that its screen will still look the same.
The image reveals that the Xiaomi 13 Pro’s codename is “nuwa” and its model number is 2210132C. It is powered by an octa-core processor that clocks at 3.0GHz. It is most likely the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform.
The SoC is accompanied by 12 GB of RAM and 3 GB of virtual RAM. It runs on the MIUI 14-based Android 13 OS. The image has no other information on the specifications of the device.
Previous reports have revealed that the Xiaomi 13 Pro will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display that delivers a Quad HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It may house a single-cell battery and offer 100W wired charging. It will continue to support 50W wireless charging like the Xiaomi 12 Pro. The back panel of the device may feature a 50-megapixel + 50-megapixel + 50-megapixel triple camera unit.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro is expected to be accompanied by a smaller flagship called the Xiaomi 13. It may feature a 6.36-inch flat AMOLED screen and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
