ASUS ZenFone 7 Series to Launch on August 26

Last month, ASUS unveiled the ROG Phone 3 gaming smartphone. Since then, the rumor mill has been speculating that the launch date of the ASUS ZenFone 7 series could be close at hand. Today, the Taiwanese company has released an official confirmation that the ZenFone 7 series will be made official on Aug. 26.

In the recent, the ZenFone 7 series have received approval from the NCC, TUV and Bluetooth SIG authorities. These certifications have revealed the key specifications of the ZenFone 7 series. It is speculated that the lineup will include ZenFone 7 and ZenFone 7 Pro. It is speculated that the vanilla model could be featuring the Snapdragon 865 SoC, whereas the Pro version will be coming with Snapdragon 865+ mobile platform.

The ZS670KS and ZS671KS are the model numbers associated with the ZenFone 7 series. It is unclear whether the ZenFone 7 models will have an LCD or AMOLED display. Hopefully, the screen will support a high refresh rate. What is known is that the size of the screen is 6.7 inches. It is expected to sport a notch-less design like the ASUS ZenFone 6 phone from last year.

The ZenFone 6 was fitted with a flip-up camera setup that housed a dual camera system. The ZenFone 7 models are expected to come with additional lenses in their flip-up camera module. The above shown teaser image suggests that the phone could be sporting quad cameras.

The ZenFone 7 series is expected to come with up to 16 GB of RAM. The lineup is expected to house 5,000mAh batteries with 30W fast charging support. The ZenFone 7 models are expected to arrive in black and white color variants.
