Dimensity 9400+ tipped to launch in March

MediaTek announced the Dimensity 9300 chip in October 2024. There have been reports that some of the smartphone brands are working on phones powered by the upcoming Dimensity 9400 Plus chipset. Initially, speculation suggested that the D9400+ might make its debut in Q2 of this year, given the announcement of the Dimensity 9300 Plus in Q2 2024. However, a new leak, courtesy of tipster Digital Chat Station, reveals that it will debut much earlier than expected.

Oppo Find X8S and Vivo X200S could be the first Dimensity 9400+ phones

The upcoming Dimensity 9400 Plus, rumored to be an overclocked version, may achieve maximum processing speeds of up to 3.7GHz, while the existing Dimensity 9400 maxes out at 3.63GHz. DCS revealed that the D9400+ is slated to go official in March.

DCS also revealed that two manufacturers are preparing to compete for the first release. One is a relatively small, thin, flat-screen phone with a periscope camera, while the other is a large photography-focused phone with a flat screen and an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner.

Although he did not specify the exact models, based on available information, the former could be the Oppo Find X8S, and the latter is likely to be the Vivo X200S, as both devices are expected to launch soon.

Apart from the above-mentioned devices, the Redmi K80 Ultra and iQOO Neo 10S Pro are also expected to feature the Dimensity 9400. According to reports, Vivo is also developing the Vivo Pad 4 Pro tablet, which will incorporate the Dimensity 9400+. It appears that the tablet may make its debut in June or July of this year.
