Honor 30 will come with a 50MP Sony IMX700 camera according to render

Even though the Honor 30S is still fresh from the oven, but the device will soon be accompanied with at least two other smartphones from the Honor 30 series on April 15th.

These devices are believed to be the Honor 30, Honor 30 Pro, as well as an ultra-premium model known as the Honor 30 Pro+. No doubt, the “Pro+” moniker definitely sounds familiar to most of us thanks to the recently announced Huawei P40 flagship series – where it first made its appearance.

Today, the folks over at GSMArena had published an official-looking render of the Honor 30, which revealed some interesting aspects of the smartphone. Starting with it’s rectangular camera module, we could see a line of words which read “Matrix Camera”. This seems to hint that the Honor 30 will be utilizing the Camera Matrix technology which was first seen in the Honor V30 Pro.

Moreover, the second line of words clearly point towards the presence of a 50MP Sony IMX700 camera on the Honor 30. According to GSMArena, the IMX700 is expected to be the industry’s largest Sony custom sensor.

Besides the impressive main shooter, there will also be another three camera sensors housed within the huge camera compartment. Two of these are likely to be an ultra-wide lens as well as a periscope camera. To make things even better, the Honor 30S will also boast an Octa Phase Detection Autofocus system as well.

Moving on, it is also obvious that the Honor 30S will feature a metallic chassis which gives the device a premium outlook. Other notable features include a secondary microphone and a IR Blaster along the upper frame of the device.

While GSMArena calls the device Honor 30, but reputable tipster @RODENT950 believes that the device could also be the Honor 30 Pro+.
