How to root Karbonn Smart A10The Karbonn Smart A10 is a low-end Android smartphone released back in July last year. The Karbonn Smart A10 comes with a 3.9 inches display powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor and 512MB RAM. Currently, the device is available for less than $100 – making it one of the most popular budget smartphone so far. Like most other Karbonn devices, you can root Karbonn Smart A10 rather easily as well. In the following tutorial, I will be guiding you on how to root Karbonn Smart A10 using the Framaroot app.

Disclaimer : During the process of rooting, there is always a risk for you to brick your Android device. So if you choose to root your device, you are doing it at your own risk!

Prerequisites before you begin rooting Karbonn Smart A10

  1. Download the Framaroot apk to your PC.
  2. Make sure you have installed the device driver on your PC. If you have not do so, you can visit Karbonn download page and have it downloaded and installed on your PC.
  3. Make sure there is at least 80% battery remaining on your smartphone.
  4. Go to Settings > Security > Make sure you have checked on the Unknown Sources checkbox.
  5. Back up the Karbonn Smart A10.

Follow the steps below on how to root Karbonn Smart A10

  1. Connect the Karbonn Smart A10 to your PC.
  2. Copy and paste the Framaroot apk (which you have downloaded earlier) from your PC over to the root of your device’s SD card.
  3. Open the file explorer app ( if you don’t have one on your device, then you may want to download either Astro File Manager / ES File Explorer ) and install the Framaroot apk by tapping on its icon.
  4. Once done, open the Framaroot app on your Karbonn Smart A10 smartphone.
  5. select install Superuser in Framaroot to root Karbonn Smart A10From the app, select the Install Superuser option under the Select an action to execute after root section as shown above.
  6. In the next section, you will select the Boromir exploit ( You can try Faramir or Barahir exploit if Boromir doesn’t work ) under the Select an exploit section.
  7. success pop up in FramarootAfter you’re done, you should be able to see a pop-up like the one above on your device. If the pop-up didn’t appear, please comment below so that we may be able to help you.
  8. Reboot your smartphone.
  9. Congratulation! You’ve just rooted Karbonn Smart A10!
