How to root Kingzone K1 using the Framaroot app

How to root Kingzone K1The Kingzone K1 is a high-end Android smartphone released by Kingzone back in June this year. The device rocks a 5.5-inch FHD display powered by the latest 8-cores MT6592 chipset along with 2GB of RAM. What’s great is this 5.5-inch monster is available for less than $300.

Like most other Android smartphone, we can root Kingzone K1 rather easily using the Framaroot app as well. Doing so will allow us to tweak the system files as well as install custom ROMs or other root-only apps. In the following tutorial, I will be guiding you guys on exactly how to root Kingzone K1 in less than an hour.

Disclaimer : During the process of rooting, there is always a risk for you to brick your Android device. So if you choose to root your device, you are doing it at your own risk! Your device warranty will also be voided after rooting.

Prerequisites before you begin rooting Kingzone K1

  1. Download the Framaroot apk to your PC.
  2. Make sure you have downloaded and installed the necessary USB driver on your PC.
  3. Make sure there is at least 50% battery remaining on your Kingzone K1 smartphone.
  4. Go to Settings > Security > Make sure you have checked on the Unknown Sources checkbox.
  5. Back up the Kingzone K1 smartphone.

Follow the steps below on how to root Kingzone K1

  1. Connect the Kingzone K1 handset to your PC using an appropriate USB cable.
  2. Copy the Framaroot apk from your PC to your device’s SD card.
  3. Open the file explorer app ( if you don’t have one on your device, then you may want to download either Astro File Manager / ES File Explorer ) and install the Framaroot apk by tapping on its icon.
  4. Open the Framaroot on your Kingzone K1 smartphone and you should be able to see a screen like the one below.
  5. select install Superuser in Framaroot to root Kingzone K1From the Framaroot app, select the Install Superuser option under the Select an action to execute after root section as shown above.
  6. In the next section, choose the Boromir exploit to root Kingzone K1.
  7. success pop up in FramarootYou should be able to see a pop-up like the one above once the program has rooted your device. The process normally takes less than a minute to complete.
  8. Finally, reboot your Kingzone K1 smartphone immediately.
  9. Congratulation! You’ve just rooted Kingzone K1!
