How to root Oppo Find 5 using Framaroot appThe Oppo Find 5 is a high-end Android smartphone released back in February this year, and is one of the first quad-core device to spot a 1080p display. Running on a powerful Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon chipset, the Oppo Find 5 can be easily rooted through the Gandalf exploit using the Framaroot app. Rooting the device will enable you to further exploit its performance by overclocking its processor and install other root-only apps. Before we begin, I would like to warn you that during the process of rooting, there is a risk of bricking your own device. So if you still want to proceed, you’ll be doing it at your own risk and we will hold no responsible for any form of damage on your device. Its a good practice for you to backup your device to an external source apart from your own SD Card.

 

Follow the steps below on how to root the Oppo Find 5

 

  1. Download and place the Framaroot apk on your desktop.
  2. Connect the Oppo Find 5 to your PC.
  3. Copy the Framaroot apk from your PC to the root of your device’s SD card.
  4. From your device’s settings. make sure you have checked the Unknown Sources option, so that you can install apks from outside the Google Play.
  5. Launch your file explorer from your app drawer ( if you do not have one, you can download ES File Explorer from the Play Store ) and look for the Framaroot apk. Once you’ve found the apk, install it.
  6. Launch the Framaroot app from your app drawer.
  7. Tap on the Gandalf option on the app.
  8. Wait for a success pop-up to appear on the screen.
  9. Restart your device.
  10. Congratulation! You’ve just rooted the Oppo Find 5.
