Huawei will be debuting the 7nm Kirin 980 chipset powered Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro smartphones through an unveil event in London on Oct. 16. Fresh set of photos that reveals the design of the Mate 20 Pro as well as the Mate 20 have surfaced on Weibo.
The above render seems to be of the Mate 20 Pro as it lacks a rear-facing fingerprint reader. The frontside of the phone features a wider notch compared to other notched phones from Huawei. Hence, it appears that the Mate 20 Pro could be equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner and 3D structured light module for 3D facial scanning. The handset is also equipped with a unique camera module that houses a triple camera setup and an LED flash. Following photos belong to the white variant of the Mate 20 Pro that was spotted at the IFA 2018 tech trade show.
The image shown below has the smaller notch display panel of the Mate 20 on the left side. The right part of the image has the display panel of the Mate 20 Pro that features a wider notch.
Also, the other leaked photo that has surfaced today shows the rear design of the phone. It is fitted with a triple camera setup as well as a rear-mounted fingerprint. Hence, it is speculated to be the Mate 20 handset.
