After much delay, the Meizu 17 will finally be announced on May 8th next month. This will be the company’s first 5G-ready smartphone capable of supporting both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) modes.
As with most other flagship phones, the upcoming Meizu 17 will be driven by the latest Snapdragon 865 platform. Moreover, the device will also be utilizing the latest UFS 3.1 flash storage technology.
Today, Meizu has take things even further by confirming that the device will be equipped with a hefty 4,500mAh battery which is capable of supporting the company’s proprietary 30W Super mCharge technology.
This time round, the Meizu 17 will be arriving with a brand new design language for its rear panel which has a huge horizontal camera module that houses a quad-camera setup and a LED flash. At the front, the device will tout a typical hole-punched AMOLED display which has an integrated in-display fingerprint sensor.
Besides the Meizu 17, the company will reportedly be announcing a “Pro” version of the smartphone with bumped up specs. As usual, the Meizu 17 series is expected to be one of the more affordable flagship series which will go head on with the Redmi K30 Pro and Realme X50 Pro.
