Last week, OPPO confirmed that the upcoming OPPO Watch 3 series will be powered by the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset. Today, the brand officially confirmed that the Watch 3 series will be made official at 7 PM (local time) on Aug. 10 in China. At the event, the company will also unveil the OPPO Zhimei Life Smart Camera.
The OPPO Watch 3 series will replace the Watch 2 lineup from last year. It is speculated that the company may unveil as many as three variants of the Watch 3. It is also said to be working on the OPPO Band 2. However, it is unclear whether a new fitness tracker will be unveiled alongside OPPO’s next-generation smartwatch.
The OPPO Watch 3 poster gives a closer look at its rotating crown. The images of the smartwatch that have surfaced on Weibo in the past few days have revealed that it will be equipped with a curved AMOLED display and a leather strap.
OPPO Watch 3 Specifications (Rumored)
The OPPO Watch 3 is likely to house a 1.91-inch AMOLED screen, which will be equipped with LTPO technology. Apart from featuring the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chip, the Watch 3 will also have the Apollo 4 Plus co-processor.
The device will run on ColorOS 13. It will come with features like a heart-rate tracker, ECG, SpO2 tracker, NFC, and e-SIM support. It will offer 5ATM-rated water resistance. The other details of the smartwatch are under wraps.
