Official: Redmi 10A Sport debuts with MediaTek Helio G25, 13MP single camera & 5,000mAh battery

Xiaomi has officially announced a new budget-centric smartphone in the Indian market known as the Redmi 10A Sport. Despite sporting a brand new moniker, this device is essentially the March-announced Redmi 10A in a new 6GB+128GB configuration.

Redmi 10A Sport Color Options

The new model comes with a 6.53” IPS LCD display which offers a HD+ screen resolution alongside a 60Hz refresh rate. On top of that, there’s also a 5 megapixels front-facing camera to help with video calls and selfies on the device.

At the back, the phone comes with an identical camera design as the Redmi 10C. However, instead of sporting a pair of lenses, the Redmi 10A Sport only has a single 13 megapixels camera aided by a LED flash for low-light photography.

Under the hood, the Redmi 10A is powered by an entry-level MediaTek Helio G25 chipset which will be paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage which can be further expanded via a microSD card.

To keep it’s lights on, the phone is backed by a respectable 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging speed. Software-wise, it’ll be shipped with MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 OS out of the box.

For those who’re interested, the Redmi 10A is available in a trio of colors such as Gray, Black, and Blue. Pricing-wise, the phone will set you back by INR10,999 ($138) in the Indian market.
