OPPO Reno5 Pro+ will be launched as the Reno5 Pro 5G in UAE

Over the last couple of months, OPPO had already launched the OPPO Reno5 5G and Reno5 Pro 5G (review) devices in quite a number of Asian markets. Despite that, the highest-end Reno5 Pro+ has yet to make its way out of the Chinese market.

OPPO Reno5 Pro+ Launch Date UAE

However, that’s about to change as OPPO Arabia has officially confirmed that the Reno5 Pro+ will be launching on March 16th next week under the rebranded Reno5 Pro 5G moniker. This is of course confusing since the Reno5 Pro 5G which we currently have in the market is a totally different model as the model which will be launching in UAE on March 16th.

As such, the Reno5 Pro 5G which is heading to UAE will share identical design and specs as the Reno5 Pro+ which was launched in the Chinese market.

As a quick recap, the OPPO Reno5 Pro+ features a vibrant FHD+ AMOLED display which measures 6.55-inches diagonally. On top of that, it also offers a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, in-display fingerprint scanner, as well as a highly-capable 32 megapixels selfie camera.

Just like the OPPO’s flagship Find X2 Pro (Review), the new Reno5 Pro+ is also driven by an octa-core Snapdragon 865 chipset that allows the device to support 5G connectivity for both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) modes. It’ll be accompanied with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage in the memory department.

At the back, the OPPO Reno5 Pro+ sports a quad-camera system headlined by the latest 50 megapixels Sony IMX766 (f/1.8 aperture) primary shooter that comes with both OIS and EIS stabilization support. In fact, the Reno5 Pro+ is the first smartphone in the world to be equipped with this sensor.

Moving on, the Sony IMX766 sensor will be joint by three other sensors including a 16 megapixels (f/2.2 aperture) ultra-wide lens, 13 megapixels (f/2.4 aperture) telephoto lens with up to 5x hybrid zoom and 20x digital zoom, as well as a 2 megapixels (f/2.4 aperture) macro camera.

To keep its lights on, the Reno5 Pro+ arrives with a respectable 4,500mAh battery which carries support for OPPO’s proprietary 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 flash charging.
