Rumors surrounding the OPPO Reno5 series have revealed that it will be made official on Dec. 10 in China. Today, the Chinese brand took to Weibo to tease the Dec. 10 launch date. The Weibo post does not explicitly mention that the Reno5 series will launch on the said date, but it does hint at the arrival of the new series.

OPPO had released the Reno4 series with a diamond-cut design. Probably, the machine-translated “OPPO Star Diamond Rejuvenation series, will debut soon!” text could be hinting the Reno5 could be sporting a similar diamond-cut design. Previous reports have also revealed that the rear design of the Reno5 will not be vastly different from the Reno4 series.

Past reports have revealed that the OPPO Reno5 is powered by the Snapdragon 765G chipset and it houses a flat 6.43-inch OLED panel with a punch-hole design. It is expected to feature a Sony IMX686 64-megapixel quad-camera system and all the Reno5 models are likely to sport 32-megapixel front-facing cameras. The Reno5 could be backed by a 4,300mAh battery with 65W fast charging support.

The Reno5 Pro could be driven by the Dimensity 1000+ and it is expected to arrive with a 6.55-inch curved edge OLED panel. It is expected to arrive with the same quad-camera setup available on the Reno5. It could be housing with a 4,350mAh battery with 65W rapid charging support.

The Snapdragon 865 SoC may power the Reno5 Pro+. It is expected to house the same screen that will be available on the Pro model. It could be equipped with a 50-megapixel quad camera setup. The phone could be backed by a 4,500mAh battery with a 65W charging tech. The trio may carry support for a 90Hz refresh rate and are expected to come preloaded with ColorOS 11 based Android 11 OS.
