Past reports have revealed that Sony may launch three new phones at some point in this month. The first one could be the Sony Xperia 1 III flagship powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset. The second one is said to be the Xperia 10 III featuring the Snapdragon 690 and the third device could be the Xperia L5 featuring the modest Helio P35 chipset. It appears that the purported Xperia 10 III has appeared on Geekbench ahead of the rumored launch.
A new Sony smartphone with model number A00S3O has been spotted at Geekbench. A fresh report by Sumahoinfo claims that the model number appears to be a variant of a Sony smartphone heading to the Japanese market. The handset is fueled by an unknown Qualcomm chipset that is mentioned with its ‘lito’ codename in the listing. The SoC has a base frequency of 1.80GHz.
The chipset is accompanied by 6 GB of RAM and the device boots to Android 11 OS. In the single-core test, the handset scored 601 points and it recorded a score of 1821 in the multi-core test. The publication claimed that the handset’s multi-core score of 1800 points suggests that it could be equipped with a Snapdragon 6-series chipset.
Since the rumor mill has already speculated that the Xperia 10 III could be coming with Snapdragon 690, it appears that the same device may have emerged on Geekbench as A00S3O. Past reports have revealed the Xperia 10 III’s design will be very similar to last year’s Xperia 10 II. Hence, it is expected to come with a thick-sized forehead and a chin. The upper and lower bezels are expected to house two front-firing speakers.
Rumors have it that the Xperia 10 III will come with a 6-inch FHD+ screen, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and 12-megapixel (main) + 8-megaixel (telephoto) + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) triple camera system. Its other specs are under the wraps.
