Realme X50 Pro Player Edition to feature Snapdragon 865 SoC & 48MP Quad-cameras

Realme had scheduled for a May 25th launch event where the company is expected to announce a new gaming-centric phone known as Realme X50 Pro Player Edition. This device was known previously as the Realme “Blade Runner”.

Now, reputable Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station has published the alleged specs of this upcoming handset via his Chinese Weibo handle. According to him, the Realme X50 Pro Player Edition will feature pretty much the same design and specs as the current Realme X50 Pro 5G.

At the front, the device is expected to flaunt a 6.44-inches FHD+ display which supports up to 90Hz screen refresh rate. Although he didn’t mention anything with respect to its display type, but it is likely to maintain an AMOLED display with in-display fingerprint scanner.

Under the hood, it will continue to be driven by the latest Snapdragon 865 SoC which will allow the device to carry support for both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) 5G modes.

Moving on to its camera department, that’s where the differences arise. The Realme X50 Pro Player Edition will apparently come with a watered-down rear and front cameras, which is likely to make the device slightly more affordable than the current X50 Pro 5G.

Its four cameras at the back will be comprising of a 48 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, 2 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor. At the front, it will still be having a dual-cameras setup, but will instead be fitted with a toned-down 16 megapixels main camera and a 2 megapixels secondary shooter.

In the coming days, we can expect more information including its pricing to surface as well. So stay with us for more updates!
