Redmi K70 Ultra key specifications leaked, July launch expected

Smartphone brands are currently promoting existing phones for the 618 (June 18) shopping festival in China. Once the event is more, they are expected to tease the arrival of new affordable flagship phones, which will launch in July. Some of the rumored devices include the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro, iQOO Neo 9s Pro+, Realme GT 7, and Redmi K70 Ultra. While the other phones are expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the Redmi flagship is expected to feature a Dimensity SoC. A new leak that has appeared on Weibo has revealed the key specifications of the device.

According to a Chinese tech blogger, the Redmi K70 Ultra will feature a 1.5K LTPO OLED display from Huaxing Optoelectronics with a 144Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by the Dimensity 9300 Plus processor paired with the X7 independent display chip and a “Rage Engine,” making it a high-performance trio.

The K70 Ultra will house a large 5,500mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging. The tipster did not say anything about the RAM and storage combinations of the device. However, previous reports have claimed that the topmost variant of the K70 Ultra will have 24 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

The new leak further states that the Redmi K70 Ultra has an OmniVision primary camera, which appears to be a 50-megapixel snapper. It will be accompanied by 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel auxiliary cameras as well as Xiaomi’s AI imaging brain engine.

When it comes to the build, the K70 Ultra is said to come equipped with a metal middle frame and a glass back. Additional features include IP68 water and dust resistance and a short-focus fingerprint sensor. The tipster has speculated that the device may carry a starting price of around 2,500 Yuan ($345).
