Vivo is rumored to launch its next foldable phone this month. Rumors surrounding the device have claimed that it will be called the Vivo X Fold S. However, in a new Weibo post, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station claimed that it could be renamed as Plus, which indicates that it could be called the Vivo X Fold Plus. He also shared the camera specs of the phone.
According to the tipster, the Vivo X Fold Plus will come equipped with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. The rear side of the device will have a 50-megapixel main camera, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 12-megapixel portrait camera with 2x zoom, and an 8-megapixel periscope zoom lens with 5x optical zoom. So, it appears that the X Fold Plus will feature the same cameras that were made available on the Vivo X Fold, which was announced in the first half of 2022.
The Vivo X Fold Plus will pack a 4,700mAh dual-cell battery, claims the tipster. The inclusion of the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset will allow the Plus model to deliver a better battery life than the X Fold, which featured the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The X Fold Plus is also expected to support 50W wireless charging.
On the outside, the X Fold Plus may feature a 6.53-inch AMOLED cover display. Its inner 8.03-inch foldable AMOLED LTPO technology will support a 2K resolution. Both displays will support up to 120Hz refresh rate and an ultra-sonic in-screen fingerprint scanner.
The Vivo X Fold Plus will run on Android 12 OS and OriginOS Ocean UI. It may ship with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. It is also expected to arrive in a new red color option, which will have a leather finish.
