How to root Xolo A600 using Framaroot

How to root Xolo A600The Xolo A600 made its first debut in India back in October last year at a price of just Rs.9,500, making it one of the most popular low-end Android smartphone in the country. The Xolo A600 comes with a 4.5 qHD display powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core processor and 512MB RAM – good enough for average Android users. Like most other Xolo smartphones, you can also easily root Xolo A600 using the Framaroot app. If you’re interested, then read on to find out how to root Xolo A600 in less than an hour.

Before we begin, I would like to warn you that during the process of rooting, there is a risk of bricking your own device. So if you still want to proceed, you’ll be doing it at your own risk and we will hold no responsible for any form of damage on your device. Similarly, your device’s warranty will also be voided after its being rooted.

Prerequisites before you begin rooting Xolo A600

  1. Download the Framaroot apk to your PC.
  2. Make sure there is at least 80% battery remaining on your device before you continue.
  3. Go to Settings > Security > Make sure you have checked on the Unknown Sources checkbox.
  4. Back up your Xolo A600 smartphone.

Follow the steps below on how to root Xolo A600

  1. Connect the Xolo A600 to your PC.
  2. Copy and paste the Framaroot apk (which you have downloaded earlier) from your PC over to the root of your device’s SD card.
  3. Launch the file explorer app ( if you don’t have one on your device, then you may want to download either Astro File Manager / ES File Explorer ) and install the Framaroot apk by tapping on its icon.
  4. Open the Framaroot app on your Xolo A600.
  5. select install Superuser in Framaroot to root Xolo A600On the Framaroot app, select the Install Superuser option from the Select an action to execute after root section.
  6. Next up, select either Boromir / Faramir (only if Boromir doesn’t work) exploit from the Select an exploit section.
  7. success pop up in FramarootA pop-up like the one should appear on the screen at this point of time.
  8. Reboot your device.
  9. Congratulation! You’ve just rooted Xolo A600!
