Xiaomi has finally confirmed the launch date of the Xiaomi 12T series. The global launch event will be held at 2 PM GMT+2 on Oct. 4. The company is also likely to announce some Redmi devices in addition to the 12T series.
The Oct. 4 launch event by Xiaomi will see the arrival of the Xiaomi 12T and the Xiaomi 12T Pro. The latter will be the company’s first Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 powered device for the global market. According to reports, it will be the first smartphone from Xiaomi to have a 200-megapixel camera.
The Xiaomi 12T Pro is said to be a tweaked version of the Redmi K50 Ultra, which debuted in China last month. The device offers key features such as a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage, a 20-megapixel front camera, a 200-megapixel (OIS support) + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera unit, and a 4,600mAh battery with 120W fast charging.
The Xiaomi 12T may be equipped with the Dimensity 8100 Ultra chipset, 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 128 GB or 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage, a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging, and a triple camera unit with 50-megapixel, 13-megapixel, and 5-megapixel resolution. It may feature the same display that will be made available on the Xiaomi 12T Pro.
The Redmi Pad and Redmi Buds 4 Pro TWS earbuds are also expected to launch alongside the Xiaomi 12T series. The Redmi Pad will come with a 10.61-inch LCD panel that supports a 2K resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, an Helio G99 chip, up to 4 GB of RAM, up to 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage, an 8-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel front camera, and an 8,000mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging support.
