Vivo is likely to launch the Vivo X Fold 5 foldable phone this month in China. The reason behind it is that Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao has released the first teaser of the device. The video teaser reveals that it will be lighter than the Vivo X Fold 3, which debuted last year.
Vivo X Fold 5 teaser released

According to reports, Vivo will launch only the Vivo X Fold 5 this year, meaning that there will not be a Pro version like last year. The official teaser reveals that the Vivo X Fold 5 will weigh less than the Vivo X Fold 3, which weighs 219 grams.
A recent report claimed that the X Fold 5 will weigh only 209 grams. It is also expected to measure 4.33mm and 9.3mm in folded and unfolded states, respectively. These details suggest that the X Fold 5 may end up as the world’s thinnest foldable phone.
Like the Vivo X Fold 3, the Vivo X Fold 5 is said to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. While the X Fold 3 did not include a periscope telephoto camera and wireless charging support, the successor edition will have a Sony IMX882 periscope camera and wireless charging support, revealed tipster Digital Chat Station.
DCS also revealed that the brand will also announce the Vivo TWS Air 3 Pro and Vivo Pad 5e tablet alongside the X Fold 5. The tablet is said to be equipped with a 12.1-inch LCD screen and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
As far as the global launch is concerned, the Vivo X Fold 5 is expected to break cover by early July overseas.
